To use the full 25m it needs to be installed with the C24 model or the Tank Series C60/C120/C180 FAQs HOW DOES A MICROPOROUS HOSE PIPE WORK? As its name suggests, a microporous hose consists of tiny pores along the length of the hose. This allows the water to escape slowly along the length of the hose, and ensures that the water gets absorbed by the roots effectively and goes into fewer places where it would typically just quickly evaporate. Soaker hoses actually make watering plants far more effective and require less maintenance and observation than traditional systems and sprinklers. How long do you leave the microporous hose pipe on for? For soft landscaping, 30 minutes is typically enough watering time to allow a microporous hose to work its magic. How do you install the 25m micro-porous hose kit? Please visit this page to see how to install this product. What will block a porous pipe? There are two major concerns regarding microporous pipe blockages: Hard water - the way to remedy this is to bury the pipe to avoid the sun from drying it out. Alternatively, using a Polar purification magnet can help prevent calcium deposits.Dirty water - the remedy to this is to use a setting tank or a water filter What do I do if I think I’ve blocked my Microporous Pipe? This is rare, but if you think this has happened, then soak the pipe in a bucket of water with diluted vinegar. This should unclog the pores and remove any built up limescale or other elements. What if I want to have more than two lengths of Microporous Pipe? If you wish to cut your microporous hose into more than two pieces, you will need a Micro Porous Hose Connector Kit (IRR-MPH-CKITNS)
Seep hose extension kitContains 12m seep hose, 12 stoppers, 2 connectors, 12 stakesIdeal for Rows of Seedlings and Beds of VegetablesSeep hose extension kit (sometimes called soaker hose or leaky hose) – contains 12m seep hose, 12 stoppers, 2 connectors, 12 stakes. To be used in conjunction with an Irrigatia Solar Automatic Watering System. The seep hose extension kit can be used in two ways.Up to 1 metre of seep hose can be pushed onto the drippers supplied with the main unit. A stopper should be put in the other end and stakes can be used to hold it in position. This arrangement can be used to spread water over a larger area than the dripper alone and is useful for large pots/baskets, germinating short rows of seedlings, burying with the roots of valuable plants to aid establishment. Drippers can be at different heights, but the individual lengths of seep hose must be kept level.Alternatively the connectors provided can be used to connect up to 6m of seep hose to the PUMP. The seep hose must be kept level and can be staked into position. This is useful for beds and rows of vegetables. It is possible to lay several lengths of seep hose but just connect the lengths most needing watering, or move the connection on each day to provide watering for 2 – 7 beds/rows from one PUMP depending on water requirements.
